Cape Town will host its first-ever Sheer City festival on Saturday, January 17 to Sunday, January 18 - a two-day celebration of music, performance, fashion, and art.
The festival takes place across downtown venues, including Harringtons, District, Surfa Rosa, Social, The Electric, and extends into the city bowl fringe at Texas, and aims to celebrate creativity and community, with an emphasis on inclusivity.
Sheer City is designed as a walkable, multi-venue experience, featuring international and local DJs, performance artists, and fashion-driven subcultures.
Venues and highlights include:
Sheer Drop at Texas from 2pm to 11pm, featuring a collaboration between Tropical Roast and Diskotekah.
Sheer Delight at the Electric from 5pm to 2am, featuring DJ Mila Rose and Friends, with a guest from Johannesburg.
Sheer Disco at Harringtons from 6pm to 4am, featuring high-tempo sets from local DJs and live acts.
Sheer D.O.G at Harringtons from 8pm to 4am - queer-themed night with Tama Sumo and Lakuti.
Sheer Assembly at The District from 8pm to 4am - live electronic sets from Sibot, Markus Wormstorm, Freudenthal, and more.
Sheer Dive at Surfa Rosa from 9pm to 4am - a dive-bar party with DJs and performances.
