Cape Town Theatre Company will present the production Stages Through the Ages from Wednesday October 30 to Saturday November 2 at the Artscape theatre, at 8pm nightly with a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
The variety show for all ages will celebrate the rich history of theatre through comedy, music and drama, featuring beloved classics and modern hits in six episodes: The Greeks, Shakespeare, The Turn of the Century, The Golden Age, Mega Musicals, and Back to the Future Theatre.
The cast includes Ana Thorne, Brad Geswendt, Charmaine Engelbrecht, David Bolton, Dudonne Diergaardt, Hayden Steyn, Jean Wilke, Kevin Thyssen, Kim R2, Lisa Fontaine-Rainen, Megan Armstrong-Davies, Nick Plummer, Nicola de Jager, Peter Wright, Rhodah Martin, Ricky Thomas, Rozelle Wilken, Sean Black and Shaun Saal.
The band consists of Chris Cameron-Dow on piano; David Bolton on percussion and drums; Bernard Kisbey-Green on saxophone and percussion; and Peter Wright on guitar.
