Police arrested eight people for drug possession in separate incidents in Table View, at the weekend.
According to Table View SAPS spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler, seven men and one woman were arrested in a series of foot patrols in drug hot spots and some arrests came as results of tip-offs.
The suspects are aged from 24 to 37. Two of the suspects are facing drug dealing charges. Large sums of cash as well as cocaine, dagga, mandrax and tik was confiscated.
All the suspects appeared at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday February 23.
