Author Jenny Hobbs, of Century City, in conversation with Nancy Richards, of Rosebank.

Jenny Hobbs, a novelist and freelance journalist from Century City, launched her memoir, Through A Dragonfly Eye, at Exclusive Books Cavendish Square, on Wednesday June 20. She was in conversation with Rosebank-based independent journalist Nancy Richards about her book, which describes her experiences growing up and coming of age in mid-20th century South Africa. Hobbs is one of the founders of the Franschhoek Literary Festival, she has reviewed books for many years and written for radio. In 2019, she was awarded a Gold Molteno Medal by the Cape 300 Foundation “for lifetime services to South African literature”.
