ESKOM has announced that it will downgrade load shedding from Stage 4 to Stage 2, effective Tuesday. This decision follows the successful recovery of eight out of 10 generation units, restoring 3,808MW of power.
According to Eskom's Daphne Mokwena, the recovery of emergency reserves is progressing well, but further replenishment is needed. Unplanned outages currently stand at 13,690MW, with ongoing planned maintenance at 7,245MW.
