The Bothasig Community Policing Forum (CPF), together with Bothasig SAPS, has launched a blanket drive to help vulnerable individuals and families in the precinct.
Bothasig CPF chairman Mario Borchards encouraged residents to open their hearts and donate new or gently used blankets.
He said donations can be dropped off at the Bothasig police station, in the blanket box, during office hours.

“Together, let’s make sure no one is left in the cold this winter,” he said.
Bothasig station commander, Colonel Jeremy Pieterse said the policing precinct decided to be part of the blanket drive because it wanted to make a tangible difference in the lives of people who are struggling to keep warm this winter.
“We have seen how tough it can be for the homeless and needy in this community,” said Colonel Pieterse.
For more information about the drive, contact Mr Borchards on 061 406 3732.
