Parklands College proudly represented South Africa at the 38th International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT), held in Lund, Sweden from Sunday, June 29 to Sunday, July 6.

Three of the five members of team South Africa were senior learners from the college: team captain Declan Saul, Connor Crighton, and Liat Demissew.

This marked South Africa’s third appearance at the prestigious global competition, which challenges students to solve complex, real-world physics problems through both theoretical and experimental research.

Participants present their findings in rigorous scientific debates before international juries of professional physicists.
