The swift response of members of the Milnerton police led to the arrest of a 55-year-old Pinelands resident for dealing in drugs in the Century City area on Wednesday, September 17.
Provincial police Captain F.C. van Wyk said police received a tip-off about a silver Mercedes-Benz allegedly selling drugs in the Kinetic Way area of Century City.
He said drugs with the street value of R900 000 and an undisclosed amount of cash were found at the man’s home in Pinelands, and that the suspect will appear at the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court once charged.
“The vehicle was stopped and searched. Drugs were found in the vehicle as well as on the occupant. The suspect was then taken to his residence in Pinelands, where a large quantity of drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime, were found,” he said.
