Mega Gymnastics Academy in Montague Gardens is celebrating a proud milestone following its strong showing at the National Championships held in Pretoria earlier this month.

A total of 36 gymnasts, accompanied by two coaches and two judges, represented the academy at the prestigious event, showcasing not only athletic talent but also the academy’s depth of expertise and dedication to all aspects of the sport.

Head coach and owner Lindsay Buckley said the academy was thrilled with the team’s performance and the opportunity for both gymnasts and judges to contribute on a national stage.

“We are incredibly proud of every gymnast, coach, and judge who worked tirelessly to reach this level. Their commitment and teamwork reflect the spirit of Mega Gymnastics Academy and the values we strive to instill in all our members," she said.

She said the inclusion of the academy’s judges at the championships highlights the institution’s growing influence within South Africa’s gymnastics community - extending beyond athlete development to supporting fair and professional competition.

"The academy’s achievements at nationals continue to build on its reputation as one of the country’s leading gymnastics institutions, nurturing talent from grassroots to elite levels," she said.
