Twice the catch

Blouberg resident and award-winning photographer, Benjamin Pearce, once again captured nature’s wild drama in action - a Cape fur seal showing off its hunting prowess with an octopus clasped firmly in its jaws at the Blouberg Rock Pools.
The striking moment, witnessed on Sunday, October 12, repeated itself just two days later, on Tuesday, October 14. The photographer joked that it was “the second sashimi dish served in one week.” Many people commenting on Facebook wondered if it was the same "lucky" seal?
On October 14, the photographer had the opportunity to capture a moment where a cape fur seal was yet again enjoying a delicious octopus.
