The Community Intervention Centre (CIC) recently organised a Pink October luncheon at the scenic D'Aria Winery, bringing together women from across the community for a day of awareness, connection, and empowerment.
The event aimed to honour breast cancer survivors, remember those who have passed, and highlight the importance of early detection and self-care.
Guest speakers Rachel Kolisi and Dr Shas Cacala, head of breast and endocrine surgery at Tygerberg Hospital, shared insightful and inspiring messages on mental health, self-care, and the life-saving value of regular screenings.
