MC Mocke, Table View
My family and I have lived in the Arum Road area for many years.
We have a good relationship with several long-standing neighbours, local schools and churches. We cherish the gift of the beautiful view of Table Mountain and enjoy our indigenous garden.
So I strongly disagree with the mania of wanting to rezone Arum Road for flats of several floors high (“New bid for Arum Road,” Tabletalk, September 20).
As a homeowner and taxpayer, I strongly object to having our decent housing area being degraded with this proposed unattractive complex living.
Have the greedy a magic wand to supply enough water to all the flats they envisage?
Please do not rob us honest, decent living residents of our homely residential atmosphere, where we bought a long time ago because we loved Table View’s homes.
