Jared lands massive contract

■ Motorbike racer Jared Schultz from Big Bay has been offered a contract by Team BWG Kawasaki to compete in the inaugural WSS 300 championship to be raced as part of the Superbike World Championship 2017 European rounds. Earlier this year, Jared was invited to the Netherlands to race at the TT (Tourist Trophy) Circuit Assen (“Jared revs up for Netherlands race,” Tabletalk, June 15). Jared says he is excited about the upcoming race. “I am very comfortable on the 300cc bikes. I know the competition will be tough because there are a lot of riders with more experience than me. I will know where I stand once I have tested the bike. My aim for the first race is top 10 and then take it from there”.
