Table View have confirmed that they have arrested four people for the murder of a 53-year-old woman.
Captain Adriana Chandler, spokeswoman of Table View SAPS, said last week Friday March 29 that they were looking for any information that would lead to the arrests of a person or people involved with a house robbery and murder at a house in Langley Crescent in Parklands.
Police were at the house to do a welfare check on the woman.
“The lifeless body of the woman was found in one of the rooms in the house. The house was in a state of disarray with numerous household items and the deceased’s vehicle stolen. It appeared as if blunt force trauma to the body was the cause of death,” Captain Chandler said.
Later that day, a BOLO (be on the lookout), was put out for a silver 2023 Renault Triber that was believed to have been stolen from the house. A BOLO was also put out for a white Iveco truck, which was believed to have had cloned plates and was at the scene of the crime.
On Sunday March 31, Captain Chandler confirmed that four people were in custody in connection with the house robbery and murder.
She said the suspects were traced to a residence in Witsand, Atlantis, shortly before 11pm on Saturday March 30. The deceased’s vehicle and most of the stolen items were discovered in their possession.
One woman, aged 41 and three men, aged 22, 24 and 44 were held at Table View police station and were set to appear at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Tuesday, April 2.
