Police are investigating the rape and murder of a 26-year-old Dunoon woman on New Year’s Day.
Distressed members of the public registered a case at Milnerton police station at about 2am on Thursday January 2, said the station’s spokesperson, Captain Nopaya Madyibi.
“Circumstances surrounding this gruesome murder are still under investigation. No arrest has been made,” Captain Madyibi said.
Various sources in Dunoon gave Tabletalk the name of the alleged perpetrator, but Captain Madyibi said police had yet to identify a suspect.
