The ACS Gymnastics Club celebrated its 25th prize-giving ceremony at Edgemead Primary School on Saturday December 3. Among those who received trophies was Alfie Schrikker, from Edgemead, who was mentored by fellow veteran gymnast Ronnie Roodt. Mr Schrikker started gymnastics at Mr Roodt’s All Saints Gymnastics Club in Woodstock, in 1966, before going on to found the ACS (Alfred Charles Schrikker) Gymnastics Club in the mid-1990s.
