A suspected drug dealer from Parklands was arrested in Bothasig on Friday August 12, say police.
The 32-year-old man was caught with R17 000 worth of drugs, including 38 packets of cocaine, 1packet of tik, a packet of ecstasy tablets and cash, said Bothasig police spokesman Warrant Officer Jacques Mostert.
He said Constable Dunay Smith and Sergeant Xolisa Jikeka were patrolling Giel Basson Drive, in Bothasig just after 9pm when they noticed a vehicle without lights on, travelling in the direction of Burgundy Estate.
The officers found the drugs after pulling the vehicle over a searching it, said Warrant Officer Mostert.
