Police say they have seized R175 000 worth of drugs at a Burgundy Estate house.
A suspected drug dealer caught with R175 000 worth of khat has been arrested in Burgundy Estate, say police.
Table View police arrested the 35-year-old man on Wednesday July 27 after being tipped off about drugs being kept at Burgundy Estate, according to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler.
She said that when officers had arrived at the house a woman had met them at the door, but in the background a suspect could be seen with bags in his hands.
“The officers requested that the man hand over the bags and found a stimulant drug called khat, and he was arrested,” said Captain Chandler.
