This gas gun was confiscated by police when they arrested a 30-year-old man in Parklands on an armed-robbery charge.
A 30-year-old man accused of robbing another man at gunpoint in Milnerton has been arrested, say police.
The 31-year-old victim was robbed of personal possessions valued at over R2000 as he walked down Loxton Road, in Milnerton, at about 7pm on Thursday December 1, said Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler.
The perpetrator then jumped into a white Chevrolet Optra that pulled up next to the victim, and sped off, said Captain Chandler.
Officers patrolling Parklands at 1am on Wednesday December 14 spotted a car fitting the description of the getaway vehicle. A police patrol van boxed the Optra in at a Gie Road petrol station and officers ordered the single male occupant to lie on the ground. When they searched the car, they found a gas gun under the driver’s seat.
