The Interact Club at Edgemead High School in conjunction with the Goodwood Rotary Club are growing indigenous coral trees and chilli trees which they plan to donate to local residents in the Bothasig and Edgemead areas.
According to Lizanne Isaacs, a social worker at the school, this initiative's primary goal is to mitigate climate change and at the same time provide a source of beauty in those communities.
Anyone interested in receiving a coral or chilli tree, can contact the Edgemead High School Interact Club on 021 558 1132.
