A 34-year-old woman was stabbed to death at a block of flats in Parklands at the weekend.
Police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said Candice Williams was killed after a row with her former boyfriend.
Captain Chandler said a 28-year-old man had demanded to speak to Ms Williams, and they had argued before she had been stabbed in the neck and stomach, at Manhattan Park, late on Saturday night, April 22.
Ms Williams died of her injuries at the scene.
A resident called a security company, and Ms Williams’s alleged killer, who was still at the scene, had handed himself over to the police, said Captain Chandler.
He was due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Tuesday April 25.
