This past weekend we got to see what the new formation (3-4-3) could do against a well-oiled machine like Liverpool.
With the game at Anfield, the heat was definitely on Manchester United, who are currently on one of the worst runs in their history.
Bournemouth scoring three at Old Trafford was the end of me, but then Wolves and Newcastle joined the party - convincingly whipping United.
Manchester United looked as clueless as they come, until we visited Anfield at the weekend and finally, there is a slight ray of hope.
With a full week of training, the boys look refreshed and ready to grind out a result.
Top-of-the-table Liverpool were displaying some wide cracks, especially in those left and right back positions, with nothing really to shout about.
Just my thoughts and opinions, but Liverpool actually suck, and I bet you would agree with my reasons why.
Show me another big-six club in the Premier League that is doing well, and don’t you find it weird that Nottingham Forest are busy balling with the big boys?
In a nutshell, of course you would look like a superstar team when all the teams around you are under-performing and struggling to find form.
Of course you would be top of the pile, if nobody else looks as if they are keen to fight for top honours.
All that matters is that a team in 13th place on the Premier League (Manchester United) has just held up the “incoming champions”.
Truth be told, at the rate most teams are playing, everybody else is basically paving the way for Liverpool and it could not get any easier.
One title during Covid and then another title during a very different kind of pandemic. A pandemic affecting all the big teams from playing good and consistent football.
Here is another interesting thought: Liverpool still have to play many of the big teams in the build-up to what could be their year, so I doubt it’s a done deal.
It should be, but when you are dealing with a bunch of fools like these “Liverfools”, you always tend to hold back and rather wait.
They have been known to disappoint their supporters - 30 years starving your fans of a title?
Attention back to a greater club, Manchester United, who have work to do but have got that off to a great start.
A full week of training has definitely done the trick, and the boys look a lot more hungry and determined.
Like Man United manager Ruben Amorim said: “You have to treat this like a project, but do it properly, from start to finish. Only then will we return this club to where it belongs.”
