Kulsum Parker, Turquoise Harmony Institute
We at Star College Bridgetown and non-profit organisation Turquoise Harmony Institute would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the incredible ladies of the sandwich drive and our generous sponsors for their unwavering support and dedication. Your kindness and commitment have made a meaningful impact in so many lives.
Throughout the year, Bilqees Samodien and Florina Hoppie (better known as Auntie Flo) have been collecting bread packets for a competition Bilqees’s son, Shakur Samodien, participated in. Shakur is a pupil at Woodlands Primary in Heideveld. We are overjoyed to share that Shakur has won the competition, securing an incredible prize of R1 000 for his school and a brand new bicycle for himself.
This achievement is truly life-changing for a young boy from Heideveld, where such opportunities are rare. We are beyond grateful to everyone who contributed and supported Shakur on this journey. Your generosity and belief in him have made this moment possible, and it serves as a powerful reminder of the incredible things we can accomplish together.
Thank you for being a part of this wonderful initiative and for continuing to uplift and inspire our community.
