Italian teenager Lorenzo Casati, 17, overcame fellow countryman Andrea Principi and Dutchman Jamie Overbeek to be crowned the winner of the RedBull Big Air kiteboarding contest. Riders were judged on the amplitude, variety, execution, and difficulty grade of their tricks as well as given an “overall impression” score by the panel of independent and highly experienced judges.
The world’s best kiteboarders competed for glory at the Red Bull King of the Air kiteboarding championship at Kite Beach, at the weekend.
The who’s who from the world of kiteboarding gathered at Kite Beach for this year’s championship. The event is known as the world’s premier Big-Air kiteboarding contest and featured the best Big-Air riders from around the globe.
