Stellies bow out in semis of Easter hockey tournament

Stellenberg High School’s under-19 boys’ hockey squad impressed at last week’s Belgotex Sport Easter Hockey Tournament held at various venues across the city.

The festival featured 80 teams from schools in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe with Stellies making it all the way to the semi-finals against Worcester Gymnasium, who beat them 4-3 in tense penalties after playing to a 1-1 draw.

Pictured is some of the action from their pool match against Johannesburg’s Redhill School, whom they beat 5-0.
