Gardens safely made it over the line against Blue Jets in their Super League C encounter at the weekend, winning 31-13.

Gardens ran in five tries against Blue Jets in Khayelitsha at the weekend, securing a 31-13 victory in their Super League C encounter.

This win marks Gardens’ third victory in six outings, following a win against Eersterivier the previous week.

The try-scorers for the Oranjezicht-based outfit were Kyle Collins, Grant Heydenrycht, Mark Bright, Nizaar Phillips and Jared Hamman. Michael Abrahams converted two of the tries, with Jordan Vaughn adding one more conversion.

Gardens’ next match is on Saturday, where they will face Goodwood away. Goodwood has only one loss in their opening six games and earned free points this past weekend when their opponents, Paarl, did not honour their fixture.

The rest of the weekend’s Super League C action saw league leaders Macassar maintaining their 100% win record for the season with a 38-12 victory over Busy Bees.

Atlantis easily defeated Surrey Estate Rangers with a 53-15 scoreline, and Young Peoples beat Strand United 34-3 for their fifth win in seven games, keeping them close to the top of the log.
