Kuils River get the better of Edgemead in First Division B action

Kuils River Cricket Club won by three wickets against Edgemead Cricket Club, in Edgemead, on Saturday, January 18.

Edgemead scored 172 runs in 47.2 overs. Kuils River reached 273/7 in 32.2 overs.

The win moved Kuils River to third position after eight wins and two losses in 10 games. Opening bowler, Sheldon Adams, picked up four wickets and four maidens for 26 runs in 10 overs.

Kuils River’s next match is against a stubborn Bishop Lavis who will be looking for their fourth win of the season.

The defeat, however, drops Edgemead to second position with 40 points. They are a point behind log leaders Cravenby.

With eight wins and three defeats in 11 matches, Edgemead will look to bounce back to winning ways when they tackle fourth-placed Bonteheuwel, at home, on Saturday, January 25.
