Diamantveld High School's first cricket team has been crowned the champions of the Bloemfontein League after a dominant performance in the final against Jim Fouché.
Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Diamantveld’s bowlers quickly took control, restricting Jim Fouché to just 90 runs in their innings. Star bowler Arno Mostert delivered a match-winning performance, taking 5/14.
In response, Diamantveld chased down the target with ease, securing victory in just the 12th over. Tiaan Coetzee led the charge with the bat, scoring a superb 50 runs off 34 balls.
With a convincing nine-wicket win in the final, Diamantveld secured the overall Bloemfontein League title.
