Sunningdale's Firecrackers bring on the heat

Sunningdale Primary School's under-13A netball squad, playing as the Firecrackers, won the intermediate division at the Montague Arena Action Netball junior tournament over the weekend. This victory adds to a string of impressive performances, including winning the finals of Metro North primary schools' Blue League playoffs earlier this year. Squad member Micaela Onwuka also represented the province at the national championship in Boksburg in July, where her team secured gold. In Action Netball, the Firecrackers have advanced from the Junior 3 league to the Junior 1 league, winning gold and topping their league in February.
