V8 thunder shakes Killarney in Çape Hell Drivers season opener

The Cape Hell Drivers’ opening meeting at Killarney, at the weekend, saw the national V8 series sprint cars roar into town, much to the delight of a bumper crowd of motorsport fans.
Cape Towns own, Shaun Zurich, takes the outside line into turn two in the first heat of the V8 sprint cars, at Killarney, on Saturday.

The 2.1 Class, although a bit depleted on the night, kept the racing really tight and entertaining.

The Stock Rod Class is always a hotly contested event. Three wide into turn one is not uncommon, with the fourth one just waiting for a slightest gap.
