Habitual cup finalists Hellenic FC's juniors were on the ball at the weekend's under-10 and under-12 Unity Cup junior soccer tournament, in Steenberg.

The Milnerton-based side featured in both finals, against Ubuntu Football Academy.

Although the result did not go their way, as the Fish Hoek-side won  3-1 and 2-0, Hellenic made an impression on friend and foe.

In the goal rankings, Hellenic's under-10 tally was 33, second behind overall winners Ubuntu who scored 47 goals in total.

Blake du Plessis top-scored in the under-10 section, with 19 goals to his name.

Clubmate Zaydin Julius was the top scorer in the under-12 division, an accolade shared with six players from other clubs.

Last week, young Blake was named player-of-the-tournament at the Mitchell's Plain Cubs festival and teammate Diego de Klerk goalkeeper-of-the-tournament in the under-10 division.

Pictured is some of the action from their under-10 quarter-final against Hout Bay UFC, whom they beat 6-1.
