An avid church-goer from Rustenburg, who won R5.2 million in the National Lottery, intends on donating some of her winnings to her church and towards her niece's tertiary fees.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, invested R40 on the Lotto Plus 2 draw ticket that she purchased at Astron Klopper Street in Rustenburg.
"I play the same numbers every day across various National Lottery games, and when I saw that I had won, I froze in shock. I couldn't believe that my persistence and faith had finally paid off," the woman had said.
"I'm an avid churchgoer, and as part of my way of giving back to the community, I will be donating some of my winnings to my church."
In addition, she expressed her relief at being able to pay her niece's university fees, enabling her to pursue her dreams without the anxiety and stress of tuition fees.
"I'm grateful for this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those around me."
