At 125 years young, this iconic pink property blends its storied history with modern twists, now offering two new outdoor dining experiences - The Fountain by Planet Bar and Saturday Braai.
The Fountain by Planet Bar invites guests into an oasis of laid-back luxury, where Mediterranean-inspired cuisine is paired with South Africa’s finest locally-sourced ingredients. Imagine enjoying a leisurely meal surrounded by lush gardens, with dishes like Zuney Wagyu bone marrow, Cape burrata, and fresh seafood. From antipasti to decadent desserts, including a playful limoncellomisu, every dish invites you to savour the flavours of the season. Complement your meal with cocktails like the Green Goddess, or share a refreshing jug of sangria with friends.
Saturday Braai, on the other hand, offers a true taste of South Africa's rich outdoor culinary tradition. Set on the poolside lawn, this weekly event celebrates the art of the braai, with local favourites like Boerewors Rolls, grilled shellfish, and traditional sides such as Samp and Beans.
To end the experience, indulge in nostalgic South African desserts, including koeksisters and Malva pudding. Cold craft beer and live acoustic music make for the perfect afternoon gathering.

Both dining experiences are now open to guests, with Saturday Braai available from 12:00 – 15:00 each week. The Fountain by Planet Bar is open daily for lunch and dinner from 12:00 onwards.
